The Legend of Summer Swan by Beverly Sims

Summer Swan comes to the tribe as a slave and soon enslaves two mighty warriors with her love and sexuality. Tall Tree and Soaring Eagle are bonded to her as no other men before or since. Their love becomes a legendary saga of lust and love. Only men of her tribe were shaman or medicine men, but no man could match her skills and magic. She knew things no one else did. She communicated with the gods, the dead, and animals. She hunted better than most men. She could be as hard as rock or as soft as a kitten. She could laugh and cry for those she loved and showed no mercy for those she hated. Life gave Summer Swan other trials as bad or worse than slavery. Here is her legend and the story of her life and loves.

The Legend of Summer Swan is a very intriguing and interesting read. Beverly Sims begins the story as the tree nearby who witnessed the whole affair and is telling the story. It’s an interesting idea about what a tree would say if they talked.
Summer Swan had a hard life but she found two men in the tribe that she fell in love with. Instead of choosing between the two she created a position of teaching up and coming men how to love their women. It was sweet because then she didn’t have to choose between the two men. She could have both without being connected to either one.
She brought the leader back to life after his wife lost her life. Summer Swan was able to take care of the twin boys and become a caregiver if not a surrogate mother. She was able to become a medicine woman and sort of a shaman, making her place in the tribe.
Overall I thought this was a cute story. I give it 2.75 stars.
