Spellbound by Nora Roberts

While world-famous photographer Calin Farrell enjoys a much-needed vacation in Ireland, he becomes bewitched by the ravishingly beautiful Bryna Torrence. In fact, so bewitched that he refuses to believe in the spell that has brought them together—and could destroy them both.

This was a quick read (only 96 pages) that is something wonderful to enjoy. It’s a story about a witch and her warrior who are fighting an evil wizard. She casts a spell that they would meet again in 1000 years and if their love holds true then the evil wizard would be defeated. If not she would be the evil wizards slave for the next 1000 years.
This story is charming. It’s set in Ireland near the coast. The way Nora Roberts describes the scenery makes you believe it’s real. Possibly is real, because she writes a lot of stories about Ireland. I really want to visit there in real life, but visiting through my imagination inspired by her writing makes it worth reading.
The story of Calin and Bryna isn’t just a love story. It’s about the love and trust that these two have to have for and with each other to make their love last. Bryna tries to protect him and he doesn’t want to accept what he knows to be the truth. In the end everything works out but there was a moment when you really wanted to bop him on the head and call him stupid. Then again Bryna has her pushy moments.
In the end, I’m giving this book 4.5 stars. I really think it’s good and even though it’s short, the quality makes you want to invest more into these characters. Good job, Nora.
