Under Your Spell by Shiloh Walker

Nicholas Montgomery fell in love with a bewitching woman only months before his sworn obligation to marry another. His beloved’s fury cast a spell that lasted hundreds of years.
You will never love another like you love me. You will never know a moment’s peace for what you have done. Until you love me enough to forsake everything—your honor, your pride, your own soul—we cannot be together.
Reborn into the body of Sean Concannon, a powerful witch, he has finally found his beloved. Now he has a choice to make, and a sacrifice. One he may be unprepared to make.

In Under Your Spell by Shiloh Walker, Nicholas falls in love with Aislinn. But he feels he is bound by honor to marry a child-bride from Spain. In those days she not a child but still a 13 year old seems young. When Aislinn begs him to choose her instead and he does not, she goes crazy and outs herself to the community that she is a witch. (It was the middle ages) While they burn her at the stake she curses Nicholas. In the subsequent four lifetimes he searches for her until finally he finds her. She doesn’t remember him or her past lives but he discovers that her punishment has been to die by fire for her past lifetimes. He takes away her painful memories and decides to give up his magic for her. Only then can they be together.
Under Your Spell is a short story about love. Found, lost, found again and then sacrifice. It begs the question: What would you be willing to give up for love? The story is so compelling that the lack of character build-up is easily ignored. The set up of the story is well done and leads the reader to want a happy conclusion for these characters.
Over I find this to be a worthy read. I looked forward to the continuation of the story while reading it and was sort of sad to see it end. I rate this book 3.75 stars.
